Description
IMS Oversize Gas Tank 2023-2026 Husqvarna
Due to the stock/OEM EFI fuel pump mounting location, the amount of fuel used will vary depending on the riding conditions. Most aggressive riders will use the vast majority of fuel in the tank due to the fuel sloshing around. Less aggressive riding styles may result in having more fuel leftover on the left hand side when running the tank low on fuel.
The 3.2 and 4.5 gal tanks come as one of two styles. One to use the Stock fuel pump and location, and one to use the previous generation fuel pumps to pull more fuel from the left side more reliably. (CLICK PHOTO 2)
If you want to change to the previous gen. fuel pump, separately purchase of the following KTM parts:
- Older Gen. KTM EFI Fuel Pump (P/N: 79707088300)
- KTM Fuel Pump Nut (P/N: 78107088014)
- KTM 90 Degree Fuel Connector (P/N: 77707988017)
- KTM Gasket Kit (P/N: 78107089100)
(typically totaling roughly $350 if buying new parts)
Alternatively, aftermarket replacement pumps can draw more fuel from the left side in the STOCK pump location, such as ones from Quantum Fuel Systems or TACO MOTO ($689).

- For 2.8 and 4.5 gal tanks, “24½-25½ Rockstar Edition & All Other ’25-’26 Models Require Slight Modification/Trimming to Both Right & Left Radiator Shroud (SEE PHOTO 3)”
- The stock pump should not be modified to draw more fuel from the left side. There is an issue with it being unable to re-prime itself if it runs dry in the event of laying down the bike.
- DRY BREAK VERSION OF TANK DOES NOT COME INCLUDED WITH A SCREW CAP ADAPTER OR A DRY BREAK RECEIVER
- WARNING!!! Gasoline is extremely flammable and when working on the fuel system be sure to work in a well ventilated area.
