SCOTTS SUB Mount Forward Bolt-on Tower 00-07 XR 650R

Description

Scotts Forward Mount style bolt-on towers are the only tower that words on the XR SUB Mount applications. This tower is designed for a SUB mount (below bar) application. Running the forward mount tower makes it easier to check or add oil to your machine since you don’t have to remove the stabilizer and tower to get to the dip stick. This setup is only compatible with a BRP or Scotts triple clamp and requires the use of a 74mm link arm sold separately. An odo re-locator bracket is also required for those of you wanting to use the stock odo, also sold separately.

Scotts Performance forward mount bolt-on towers are well engineered and precisely manufactured from aluminum and stainless steel to fit each application perfectly for an easy bolt-on assembly. They are finished in a nice silver anodize that should last the lifetime of the motorcycle.

SPECIAL NOTES:
SOME BOLT-ON TOWERS MAY REQUIRE ADDITIONAL FILING OR DRILLING TO ENSURE PROPER TOWER FITMENT. Most applications can be installed by a novice mechanic. Some bolt-on towers require additional hardware in order to mount properly. Some models you may need to use special rubber cones, special bar mount hardware or indexing the bar mount bolts to provide the proper clearance between the tower and the bar mount hardware. All towers come with complete step by step installation instructions. The tower pin should be free floating so be sure to clean and lube it regularly.
