Description
CanAm X3 Seat Rails
Note: CanAm X3 Seat Rails are now Black Hard Anodized.
We would like to introduce our Can Am X3 Billet Aluminum Seat Rails. We have found that installing aftermarket seats in the X3’s can be tricky and using the stock slides are not secure or safe.
With that said we designed and machined some trick rails and mounting blocks that will bolt directly into the Can Am X3’s and offer a variety of adjustability. We have made these specifically for the PRP seat bases but with minimal modification to the other aftermarket manufacturer’s bases they will easily mount their seats as well. DOES NOT WORK WITH STOCK X3 SEATS!
The BRP Seat Rails are designed to sit in either the upper or lower position. Note: For more adjustability an additional 11/32 (.343”) dia. Hole can be drilled in between the upper and lower mounting hole on the front mounting tab on your X3. In the upper position the “R” Right & “L” Left will be facing up and in their appropriate location. When running the rails in the lower position the “R” & “L” will now be facing down and will be on the opposing side. Note: Running the rails in the lower holes may require trimming the top of the tab to clear the seat.
These rails are sold per set (One set will hold one seat)

Stepping back and looking at these, they’re your ONLY aftermarket option to fixing the stock seat rail issues for the can ams unless you have corbeau seats. These rails WORK. Don’t get me wrong on that, the seat is not moving once installed. The main issue I have is when adding accessories or anything involving REMOVING the seats. Damn near impossible. I cringe every time I have to do something involving the removal of the seats. Everything is precision cut with zero slack. Good luck trying to get the pins out. Takes me an hour just about every time as I’m attempting now. I don’t write reviews, but the frustration of trying to remove the pins is currently getting me lol. It would honestly be faster disassembling the rails/seats to remove/reinstall the seats. I will be boring out the seats after the headache of removing/reinstalling them a handful of times. Wish I did it sooner, but for this price…. it should be plug and play.

Hi Kevin,
I just came across your comment regarding the issue you are having with removing the clevis pins. I would suggest loosening the bolts that attach the seat base to the Slide Blocks then install your clevis pins and then re-tighten the bolts between the seat base and the slide blocks. This will allow them to sit in the correct location and allow for smoother removal and installation of the clevis pins.
I hope this makes sense and helps make removal of pins easier.
Feel free to contact me if you have any further questions or if I can be of any help.
